$15M Awarded to Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS)

Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) to receive $15M from Empire State Development (ESD) to update the facility. CHESS will also receive $80M from The National Science Foundation to update the accelerator. Local company Advanced Design Consulting (ADC) will provide some of the parts for the accelerator. The project is expected to lead to the creation of 50-100 jobs in the region.
