Cayuga Salt Mine Receives DEC Approval

cargill_mine_new_shaftThe Cayuga Salt Mine received a permit from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to construct a new $42 million mine shaft that company officials say will will provide a safer work environment, cut employee commuting time, and provide an ample supply of electricity, air, and faster emergency extraction from active mining areas to insure the safety of the miners.
