Planning & Strategy
IAED convenes community partners to coordinate the decadal Tompkins County Economic Development Strategy 2.0 and Water & Sewer Evaluation Update. And we’re just as integral on other important initiatives with local, regional, and state partners like the Southern Tier Cleantech Strategy.
Thought & Process
IAED’s Board of Directors represents every sector of our economy. They are the standard bearers for our organizational culture, effectiveness and sustainability, and serve as our most ardent ambassadors and advocates. IAED staff follows suit, lending their expertise and insight at all levels of governance.
Programs & Projects
Site Selection – IAED works continuously to identify shovel-ready sites, including Tier I and Tier II sites, to help attract new business and grow existing ones.
Broadband – IAED is spearheading a 56-mile fiber broadband project to aid redevelopment of the former coal plant, which also connects unserved households at competitive rates and backs up municipal systems.
