October 4th markedthe first day of non-stop service on United Airlines from Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) to Washington-Dulles International Airport. The first flight arriving from Dulles was greeted by airport staff, Tompkins County legislators, and members of the business community. The new service offers greater connectivity to the rest of the country and to the world for local businesses and community members. This improved access to Washington, D.C. will act as an economic development engine that will provide businesses with access to investors and clients and vice versa.
