Effective Monday, March 31, Heather McDaniel has stepped down as President of Ithaca Area Economic Development (IAED).
We are grateful for Heather’s 18 years of service, leadership, and commitment to our mission. She has been a passionate advocate for economic growth in our region and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
IAED is in a strong position guided by capable hands. Our board and senior leadership team bring decades of experience at IAED and have deep roots in the community.
IAED is New York’s premier Accredited Economic Development Organization. Our commitment to our mission – building a thriving and sustainable economy that improves quality of life in Tompkins County by fostering business growth and employment – is steadfast. Our customized economic development services will continue without interruption.
During the transition, Kurt Anderson, CEcD will oversee day-to-day operations of IAED. He has been with IAED for five years, serving as Director of Operations.
The Board of Directors will launch a formal process to identify our next leader in the coming months.
