Tompkins County IDA Approves Two Projects – Library Place and Ithaca Arthaus

The Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) approved two new projects located in Downtown Ithaca on May 8th. The Library Place or Ex Libris project is located at 316 N. Cayuga St. and will offer 66 market-rate, age-restricted apartments for people 55 and older. It will include a community room operated by Lifelong, a public restaurant, private spa and wellness center, and an office intended for a home health care agency that residents may elect to contract with for home health care services.

The second project, Ithaca Arthaus, is an affordable housing development proposed for 130 Cherry St. Arthaus will have approximately 124 affordable housing units, including 40 units dedicated for supportive housing targeted to at-risk youth including formerly foster care or homeless young people ages 19-26. There will be an approximately 8,800 square foot amenity space that includes tenant supportive services, a community room, fitness room and a flexible gathering/workspace.  Read more
