Town of Ulysses Designated a Clean Energy Community

The Town of Ulysses is the first town in the Southern Tier to be designated as a Clean Energy Community by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.  This designation recognizes the Town’s “leadership in reducing energy use, cutting costs and driving clean energy in its communities.”

In the press release from the Governor’s office it states that the Town of Ulysses “received the designation for completing four of 10 high-impact clean energy actions identified by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority as part of the Clean Energy Communities initiative. In addition, the designation gives the Town of Ulysses an opportunity to apply for up to $100,000 toward additional clean energy projects, with no local cost share.”
