Two Dryden Solar Projects Approved

solar-cells-491701_1280Two community solar projects proposed by Sun8 in the Town of Dryden have been approved by the Dryden Town Board.  These projects will produce 28 megawatts of electricity. The projects addressed concerns of Dryden residents regarding views and set back requirements and will offer many benefits to the community including giving Dryden residents an exclusive 30-day period to be the first to sign-up for service.
TCAD is assisting the company, Sun8, to negotiate a property tax payment agreement at the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency (TCIDA). The payment will provide financial certainty to move the project forward and future tax revenues for the
County, town, and school districts.
